		<description>I remember traveling Los Angeles from Long Beach when I was 16 to buy a 9600 baud external modem.  I had a 2400 internal that was just so slow.  I paid something like $50 for the thing with cable.  The fastest ones at the time were 14400 baud, so this one was a steal.  I hooked up to the local BBS, the Maverick BBS, and just couldn&#039;t believe the speed.  I won&#039;t tell you what I was downloading. ;-)

The Maverick BBS was also the place where I got my first e-mail address.  I had no one to send an e-mail to, but I had one.

Looking forward to new shows.
